Eriksson predicted chemistry can develop with Bergeron and Marchand. "Sometimes it feels really good, sometimes a little bit worse, but thats why you have these games," Eriksson said. Bergeron had the games first goal when he took a feed from Marchand and put a close, low shot past Pavelec at 3:54 of the first period for his first goal of the pre-season.
