Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak is the newest member of the Bucherer blue series
The case and color scheme of this classic timepiece have been updated.
One of the top suppliers of top watches in the world has just added another clock feather to the hat.
Since 1888, Bucherer has been one of the most exquisite sources of timepieces in Switzerland. The company is introducing Audemars Piguet's Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph to its Blue Collection. As the retailer puts it, the watches included in the collection represent the essence of the "bold pioneers" of the modern watch industry.
The signature chronograph is only available in Bucherer boutiques in Europe. It is already one of the most recognized watches of Audemars Piguet, but, like every member of the Blue Collection, its color scheme draws inspiration from the water. But the water color shift on the dial and strap is not new. When the Royal Oak was first put on the market in 1972, it was made with a blue Tapisserie dial, which conveyed a modern, sporty feel. It was a welcome return. Although there are other Royal Oak dials with a blue waffle design, this dial is called the "Giant Tapisserie" because of its oversized version. This is currently the only chronograph iteration and is also equipped with blue Sub-dial.
